An HMIS that starts at the bedside, not the spreadsheet.
Most health information systems ask overworked staff to re-key numbers into a reporting portal at month-end. Medveon captures each encounter as care happens — then rolls it up into facility, district and ministry indicators automatically. Offline-first, so the reporting chain never breaks.
HMS vs HMIS — what's the difference?
A hospital management system (HMS) runs the day-to-day work inside one hospital: admissions, rounds, orders, pharmacy, billing. A health management information system (HMIS) is broader — it also produces the aggregate indicators and routine reports that districts, disease programmes and ministries use to steer the whole system. The classic failure is treating them as two disconnected tools, which forces double data entry and month-end guesswork. Medveon is one record that does both: clinicians capture care once, and the indicators assemble themselves.
From encounter to indicator, automatically
Every admission, diagnosis, procedure, dispense and result recorded as it happens — the raw data an HMIS needs.
Bed occupancy, admissions, OT throughput, stock-outs, revenue — live, not a month behind.
Service volumes and programme indicators rolled up for district and ministry returns.
FHIR R4 and CSV reports. Mapping them into a national platform such as DHIS2 is a configuration project we scope with you.
Offline-first, because the reporting chain runs through weak connectivity
In real districts — power cuts, rural dead spots, shared 3G — a browser-only system loses data and staff fall back to paper, and the monthly return becomes a fiction. Medveon is a progressive web app: it installs like an app, captures fully offline, and syncs indicators up the moment the link returns. The data that reaches the ministry is the data that was actually recorded at the bedside.
Governed data you can trust
Role-based access keeps each facility's records isolated; an audit trail shows who recorded and changed what; and de-identified aggregates can be shared for planning without exposing patients. Run it in the cloud or entirely on your own servers for full data sovereignty — a common requirement for public-sector HMIS deployments.

What is an HMIS (health management information system)?
Software that collects, stores and reports the data a health facility or system needs to run and be governed — records, service volumes, stock, staffing — and aggregates it into indicators for facility, district and ministry decisions.
What's the difference between an HMS and an HMIS?
An HMS runs one hospital's daily work; an HMIS also produces the aggregate indicators districts and ministries use. Medveon does both from the same record — no double entry.
Does it work offline?
Yes — an offline-first PWA. Encounters are captured without a connection and indicators sync up when it returns.
Can it feed a national platform like DHIS2?
It exports FHIR R4 and CSV reports. Mapping them into DHIS2 is a configuration project we scope with you.
